Carthage Film Festival: A Historical Overview (1966–2024)
Founded in 1966 in Tunis, Tunisia, the Carthage Film Festival was envisioned as a space to promote African and Arab cinema. Organized every two years initially (and annually since 2014), it highlights films with strong social and cultural narratives and champions regional talent.
